We overlook a beautiful park that rolls down to the award winning Dovercourt beach and the sea 150 meters away. From most rooms you can ship-watch the European Ferries and Cruise Ships coming into port 3 km down the road. (5 mins by car) Stanstead International airport is just over an hour by car from the Goodlife.
The historic town of Colchester being a mere 30 mins away. Central London by train can be reached in approx. 90 mins.
Why Us?
Our Guesthouse has been newly constructed, coming into service in May 2014. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and most have sea and park views. These en-suite rooms are cleverly designed for your comfort and range in size from a deluxe single to family size rooms which will accommodate up to six persons. Complementary tea and coffee, toiletries and Wi Fi to all rooms are free, while our furnishings, beds and multi-channel TVs are some of the best in the business.
Breakfast begins each morning at 7.00 am till 9.00am. You may choose from our extensive menu.
Although we do not serve food in the evening, we will be happy to provide you with several take away menus from our local eateries. These Takeaways will be happy to deliver your order to your room. This also applies to drinks from the bar. We also have links with some very good local restaurants who will welcome Goodlife Guests.
CHECK IN
Our check in times are from 2pm till 10pm daily. If you have been delayed please call and advise.
CHECK OUT
Unless previously agreed, Check out is at 10am. If it helps we can also securely store your luggage for a few hours.
The Goodlife has its own private car park directly opposite the Guesthouse. It’s a large area which will accommodate cars, vans, campers and trailers. Parking is free to current guests with a small surcharge for long term stay.
Advantages
We have created a dining room/TV lounge for the exclusive use of guests. This is a very large cosy room with soft furnishings WiFi terminal and large plasma TV.
The dining area is equipped with all the condiments to let you enjoy your take away meal or even to warm up a snack. There is a kettle, microwave, and fridge for your use.
Off to the rear of the dining room is our lounge, this is a comfortable area complete with cosy chairs and even a guitar so you can serenade the guests!
Biker & Pet Freindly
PETS POLICY
Well behaved pets are welcome at the Goodlife Guesthouse. We do however have a one off charge of £10 to cover the deep clean of the room on departure.
BIKER FRIENDLY
We value and fully support all bikers at The Goodlife. We have a securely locked underground car park specially designated for bikes and bicycles. Your bike will be safe with us.
