The Civic Theatre is a 505-seat auditorium that offers a varied programme of professional and amateur arts and entertainment events.

The Civic Theatre is happy to boast its friendly, welcoming atmosphere and ability to appeal to one and all through a diverse programme of high-quality theatre. There is also a regular programme of signed, audio described or captioned performances.

The Cramphorn Theatre, which is next to the Civic, is an intimate studio theatre seating up to 180, which presents a programme of small-scale touring theatre, music shows and dance, as well as being well known and respected for its innovative, world film screenings and the fantastic programme of mainstream cinema.

The Cramphorn has also housed the very popular lunchtime concerts – a regular programme of music ranging from classical to jazz, which is performed between 1 pm and 2 pm on Wednesday lunchtimes.
